OK, Just One More Post…

I just came across this story at World Net Daily. It concerns some Mennonites in the Canadian province of Quebec:

Fifteen Christian families from a tiny community of only about 1,300 people are making plans to leave their homes and work behind so that their children will not be forced by the Canadian government to attend “sanctioned” schools where evolution is taught.

A report in the Vancouver Sun said provincial officials have threatened the families with legal action, including the potential loss of their children to state control, if they do not abide by the mandatory education curriculum.

But leaders of the Mennonite families say they’ll leave Quebec before giving up their children to the state indoctrination.

What these families are saying is this: The atheists and evolutionsts (Darwinists) do not control the conversation. They are not the only voice concerning our origins. They do not speak authoritatively for the entire community. They will not teach our children lies.

That the teaching of evolution is mandated by governments (and local schools boards, and state school boards) proves at least one thing: They (the Darwinists) are afraid to have their theory challenged, because they are afraid of losing their monopoly voice in the world of ‘science.’ In other words, evolution must be mandated because no one in their right mind would voluntarily submit to listening to unsubstantiated and false claims concerning the origins of life. Thus governments can withhold grants, funding, and other financial incentives when schools refuse to teach it. And look what the government is thinking of doing when families refuse to accept it: Threatening legal action!?

I applaud these people for having the courage to stand by their convictions that the Word of God is the sole authority over our lives and to refuse to be bullied by any brontosaurus wanting to teach such maddening, mindless, doctrines.

  2. Pierre Louis,

Well, thanks for posting links to websites that no one can read. Since I don’t know what the websites say, they’re in French, I cannot really comment on your reply. Nonetheless, thanks for stopping by.

  3. No one can read ? What do you public schools teach these days 😉 ?

Touche! I should have added the word ‘French’ in there. I studied four years of French in HS. I remember Bonjour and c’est la vie and tout le monde and a few other assorted phrases. Thanks for lightening up the reply section of my blog. Usually, it’s only angry people. I’m glad you have a sense of humor!
